Preliminary Task

This is my magazine preliminary task. where i had to create the cover of a college magazine.
I took pictures of my friend Tom and edited this one on photoshop to make the colours pop a bit more.
I really like the title and the two different fonts i used and i will definatley use this technique in my final peice.
I like the font where i wrote 'weekly', and i will use this again if possible, but not the font where i wrote, 'SMC'. I did the layout on 'indesign'. I found it very difficult to use the software so my final peice will be much better than this when i am used to using this programme.
Also, the grammer on my cover is not very good, and I am aware I will be marked down for this. For example, the 'I' in the headline should be a capital. And I haven't put a full stop at the end of it either.
On my final peice, i will probably use professional lighting to take the image. I like the long shot as opposed to the medium shot which is most commonly used on the cover on magazines. And i prefer the location shoot, but I will probably cut out an image and put it on a background in my final peice as this looks more professional.
